A daily code-breaking puzzle
Kode hands you a hidden four-digit code and a board of guesses that have already been scored. You never guess blind: everything you need is on the board from the first second, and the puzzle is learning to read it. Each row says how many of its digits are in the code and how many sit in the right spot, but never which ones. Hold the rows up against each other and only one code fits them all.
Logic, not luck
Before a board goes live, a solver plays it the way a careful person would, one deduction at a time. If it can't reach the answer without trial and error, the board is thrown away. So there is always a clean line of reasoning to the code. When you're stuck, it means a clue still has something to tell you, not that you need a lucky guess.
Three tries, one board for everyone
You get three attempts to enter the code, and your score is how many you needed and how long it took. A new Kode lands at midnight UTC and every player in the world gets the same board, so you can share your result without spoiling it and compare notes with friends. Your streak and stats stay on your own device. There's no account and nothing to install.
